Revolution Cycling

Fixtures and the calendarPublished

Revolution was the velodrome’s own promotion rather than a federation meeting: road and track riders brought in for an evening of sprints and short races, run as a show with music and a crowd.

It matters in a city archive because a track that only opens for championships cannot pay for itself. A promoted series is how a velodrome fills the calendar between them, and most of the cycling entries in Events share the same building.

International road and cycling stars entertain with their intense sprint action, awesome track speed and great showmanship during this serious of action-packed alternative cycle events.
