Manchester sport, ground by ground

Interviews

Matchday in the cityPublished

The interview strand was filmed rather than written: short pieces to camera with athletes, coaches and organisers passing through the city, published to the programme’s video channel and indexed from here.

The embeds point at the original uploads, so what you get is the archive as it stands and not a reconstruction. Together they are a reminder of how much of a bid campaign is talking heads, and of how quickly the vocabulary of a legacy pitch dates. Interviews that the desk runs as text, and the longer pieces built on them, sit under Analysis.
