Tree-Athlon 2009- Run for Manchester and its Trees

The Tree-Athlon is a unique running event which raises funds for Trees for Cities, an independent environmental charity working with local communities on tree planting projects. Participants run a 5km race, make a tree wish and will receive a tree sapling of their very own! Cost: £10 for registration.

With music, entertainment, picnic brunches, tree themed activities and workshops and a Tree Party the whole family can enjoy this fun day out. Registration is online on http://www.tree-athlon.org/. The race is open to runners aged 14 and up and is ideal for beginners or experienced runners alike. Registration costs £10, and we ask that every participant raises a minimum sponsorship target of £25.

Each runner will receive a running pack containing a t-shirt, a personalised bib and fundraising ideas advice before the event and a goody bag, medal, sapling and refreshments on the day.
