UCI Paracycling World Championships

Fixtures and the calendarPublished

A world championship that had never been staged by the host federation before is the strongest single entry in this diary, and the listing says as much — the track element of the paracycling worlds, brought to the city for the first time.

It is kept with the organiser’s own wording, including the record of the squad that had just come back from the Games. The track is described in the velodrome record.

For the first time in its history British Cycling will host the track element of the 2009 UCI Paracycling World Championships. The Championships will feature top international disabled track riders including members of the highly successful GB Team, which won 20 Paralympic medals, 17 of which were gold, in Beijing in 2008.
