A pool built to hold a championship and a public timetable at the same time has to solve a problem most venues never face: the water cannot be closed for a month.

The record keeps the pool configuration and the squad-training notes as published. It is also the venue behind the archive’s one all-star swimming meet, listed in Duel in the Pool.

Situated in the centre of Manchester (close to the Universities), Manchester Aquatics Centre is the only centre in the UK with two 50-metre pools as well as separate diving and leisure pools.

The centre is used extensively as a venue for world-class swimming events and galas and is also the training facility of the successful regional British Paralympics Swimming Squad.

We also offer a variety of mixed leisure activities including a fitness suite with over 70 pieces of equipment, swimming sessions, health suite and café area is also located behind reception.

Capacity and access details are quoted from the source named in the piece; grounds are rebuilt and relicensed.
